Is there a SketchUp tutorial aimed at pencil-spinners (we were taught to rotate the drafting pencil/lead holder in drafting class)?
Coming at the program from a paper drafting background, I'm a little embarassed to say I just don't "get" the SU interface, even though I have a good computing foundation. Apparently, there's something fundamental about the application's paradigm that I've missed somehow.

If you have sketchup expertise, I do hope that you will share your tips and tricks in this forum setting as well.

YouTube (post #157771, reply #5 of 7)
There are many, many tutorials on YouTube at all levels of difficulty. Simply searching on "sketchup" will get you started. Google also has tutorials available on their Sketchup web site. And there are a number of books you can find on Amazon to help you learn. "Google Sketchup: The Missing Manual" is one good one.
follow-up (post #157771, reply #6 of 7)
For purposes of follow-up, Dave was able to get me past my "paradigm block". (Thanks again, Dave!)
I've also since purchased Tim Killen's “The SketchUp Guide for Woodworkers,” which I find to be quite helpful.
