IWF-Atlanta ,August 25-28

I was looking at the IWF web page and it seemed like a mostly industrial woodworking focus. It is huge with 950 exibitors but I wanted to see products from smaller companies as well as major suppliers.

Yes, it is industrial in nature, but most of the larger hobbyist companies will be there, as well as all the hobby/pro tool makers - Delta, Powrmatic, Laguna, etc.

http://www.iwfatlanta.com/   Is the opening page. You can search for any firms you are interested in seeing.

For novice or pro, IWF Atlanta is an adventure. If you want to see the entire show, it will take two days. Wear commfortable shoes. Use the exhibitor list to plan and map your tour, or else you will be just walking endlessly.

The sheer amount of equipment, tools, and vendors of all sorts is overwhelming, and actually numbing after a few hours. Most equipment is under power, so you can truly kick the tires. Some booths will have show specials where you can buy the item on the floor, and then they have to cart it back to their facility.

You can see large CNC machines cutting out complex shapes, 6 head molders running, dust collection and far more than you can imagine. For any xylophile, it is worth a trip.
