Rockwell 46-525
Inherited one of these a while back. The upper drive belt that connects to the variable speed function disiintegrated. I'm unsure of the size as the pulley that receives it moves up and down. I could hazard a guess, but it is such a pita to put on that I thought I'd ask if anyone has a manual for this and could save me time and efforts. Have no idea of the age , but its looks as old as me, and I remember Eisenhower, Elvis, Buddy Holly and plaid stamps........
Thanks

I have a parts breakdown for the 46-500, which shows the old Delta part number for the belt, but not the size. Sorry.

Belt for Delta 46-525 (post #151106, reply #3 of 4)
Realize this post is six months old but just finished rebuilding the same lathe. Checked these two sites (Acetoolrepair & PartsDirect) . They have online parts diagrams and as many parts as are still available. Most importantly they list the belt size (4l, 47 1/8) upper and lower belt are the same.
I read several posts that advise against using link belt because it doesn't have a 4L taper and it will mess with the reeves drive.
Hope this helps, enjoy the old iron!

Rockwell 46-500 wood lathe (post #151106, reply #4 of 4)
I too have one of these lathes. I am looking for a schematic/parts list so I can find a few parts for this lathe. (I hear the Mission Impossible theme song playing over and over in my head. Ha!) If you have one of these manuals/parts lists, I would greatly appreciate you giving me a PDF of it if you can.
Thank You
