Delta 46-460 Lathe
Does anybody have a Delta 46-460 Midi Lathe?
I bought one at Rockler back in December (2009) but have not set it up yet
Health reasons have prevented me working in the shop.
I am curious how people that have used them like them.
I am just about there!

Delta 46-460 Midi Lathe (post #157101, reply #1 of 1)
Leo, sorry for responding so late. Hopefully by now you are enjoying your lathe. I purched the Delta 46-460 Midi Lathe
a few months ago - about the time you posted this question.
I'm new to turning, so I can't comment on the Delta vs other lathes. I do enjoy the lathe. It was easy to install and it appears to be working well. Not to long after setting up the lathe and stand, I purchased the extension bed and stand. I was truning a small cup and needed to remove the tailstock in order to reach inside the cup. With the extension the tail can slide well out of the way. I am pleased with the extension. It took a bit of work to get the two beds to align. The instructions were very helpful.
Time will tell if the midi was the correct purchase vs a full size machine. For now, I'm very pleased.
Let me know if you have any questions and/or problems.
Joe
