Table Saw Speed Control

Has anyone tried using a speed control on a contractor style table saw to reduce the speed while using a sanding disc?

Motor out side and in back of the cabinet (V belt driven)? (post #170772, reply #1 of 1)

If the motor is out side of the saw cabinet you could change the pulley size .  A smaller pulley on the motor will turn the sanding disc slower

You will have more torque (can press the sander harder without slowing it down).
