Recommendation for small air compressor
Recommendation for small air compressor (post #169599)

The PC C2002 has been widely acknowledged as a decent compressor in that family. I'm looking for something to run a finnish/brad/pin/framing nailer - just as a homeowner/diy-er a few times a year.
Home Depot has a "special buy" on a PC C2005 (five), which looks different than the C2002. It's priced at $99, so that appears to be a good price assuming it's not a watered down C2002 model.

Hitachi (post #169599, reply #1 of 3)
I really like the twin tank Hitachi EC-12 as it has given me many years of service.
When not in use remember to open the pet cock to release the air while in storage, this go's for all compressors.
Amazon I see has it for 194.00
bigskytool.com has Hitach (post #169599, reply #2 of 3)
bigskytool.com has Hitach refurbished -- but the EC12 is a little more compressor than I think I need and also heavier than I want for my use. The Hitachi EC10 is more the class I'm looking for, but reviews suggested the PC2002 was a bit more reliable. Anyone have experience with the EC10?
Any thought on the Hitachin (post #169599, reply #3 of 3)
Any thought on the Hitachin EC89? Is is just an older model? I see refurb prices for around 100.
