I am new into Wood Working and not on a Norm Abram budget. I have come a cross an Ohio Forge Lathe 12″. It is in great shape and has been well take care of. MFG date is 1984 (almost older than I). She is a family friend whose husband passed and not sure what it is worth (neither am I). So is this a good buy and what would be a fair price for this?
There is an old Drill press also. Your thoughts would be very helpful.

Cheap import. Makes Grizzly look good as you can get parts for a Grizzly. See if you can find a dealer and part supply for the brand.
Thanks for all of the imput. I had a feeling that was the case seeing that I could not find any resources on the web.
The lathe probably is not that good. It wood help to see pictures. If it is a monotube bed like some of sears lathes, then definitely stay away.
Is the drill press a bench or floor model. What brand is it?
He said it was...Ohio Forge Lathe 12".
It is the Mono tube. The drill press is actually not Ohio Forge, it is ike K.L. something....I think I saw Japan on it and it too was manufactured in 1984. Varible speed, 1/32-1/2 chuck. Floor model and has a 4" travel. Large press.
I will try and get more info!
Thanks for all the help!
The drill press doesn't sound to bad, but I wouldn't pay more than $100.
Thanks!
