Well....a little disapointed in Felder....I was dealing with west coast rep and he told me he thought I could get a mortiser for my BF631 for about $1000.00. I went ahead and bought the machine and now he says he never said that!

The price of this mortiser is about $1900.00 bucks plus shipping with the stand and the chuck. I can buy stand alone machines with their own motors brand new for $1,000 to $1,200. What could possibly cost so much that Felder charges so much for a add on device with no motor? Further, they put everything in the catolog on sale except this item!

Anyway, If anyone has this unit, does not use it and would like to sell....I am very interested in having one to fit my machine. This is the link for the one I need:

Not surprised about your experience with customer service at Felder. I've had nothing but bad experiences with them in the past . Their stuff is well made but in  my opinion very much overpriced. That combined with their poor customer service with me, and other friends in the comercial cabinetry business, it's a no brainer for me to not ever do business with them again. I've complained so much about them that I've actually had their Co. president call me at my home. I wouldn't even take his call. Their problem is that they have to much of a European attitude about customer service, that their never wrong  !
