Cedar Cedar Chest
Made from some Red Aromatic Cedar I had in the shop. Top features a bookmatch or two. All boards were ripped/resawn to size. Top drawer is a fake, open the lid to find a cedar lined storage area. All the panels in this Frame & Panel chest were raised on the tablesaw. Panels have a 12 degree bevel. Three coats of poly Gloss. About 20 hours to build, due to all the glue-ups. Corners are also tongue & groove joints. Bottom of the storage area is a piece of OSB, covered with1/4" thick strips of cedar. Inside left unfinished.

Cedar Chest (post #167666, reply #1 of 1)
No real plan for this, just something that seemed to come along. I had the Red Cedar for a few years, so it was about time to make something out of those 8/4 x 8" x 14' planks. The top has several book matches in it. All resawing was done on my tablesaw. Raised the panels also on the tablesaw. Just playing around in the shop....
