I'm building a room divider for my daughter-the unit is constructed entirely of 7 1/2 wide old growth Cypress. The carcase is ~6'X4', half-blind dovetailed. My question is what is the best joint technique to secure the 45 degree crosshatched interior boards to the frame? The unit may need to be dissassembled sometime in the future if they move. Thanks for any help,

While it would be possible to make the rack to be disassembled, I don't think it would be worth doing - particularly since the end pieces are half-blind dovetails. That would mean the outer frame would remain together, and would be quite subject to damage in moving without the inner lattice for support. Not gluing the inner lattice also complicates assembly, since each piece might then require retainer screws.

You are probably right. I think it might be better to just drill/pin the angled boards to the carcase from the inside--they'll have to get a bigger U-Haul if they move.
