Pinfeather Board
Developed a feather board with a pin pivot to get a tighter fit and add leverage to the fastening process.
Basically the slide that goes into the table saw or shaper slot has a 3/8" threaded hole for the knob with screw down... plus
a 1/4" pin. The feather board has a 1/2" wide slot where the 3/8" screw is fasteneed through which gives it some movement.
The pin goes into 1/4" holes slightly oversized. The feather board is rounded on the end. The pin limits the movement of the
jig which is especially helpful on the large shaper that I run. I plan to develop this idea further.
