You can purchase spring steel corner clamps for picture frames that hold the corners during glue-up, but what if you don't have any and the stores are closed, or you just don't want to buy them?
If you have it available tahe a piece of 1.5" - 2" diameter PVC pipe and saw 1/2" rings off it. Next, split each ring by cutting an x shaped kerf in it. The x shape leaves you with a point. Now file down each point to give yourself a fairly sharp point and use this instead of those store bought clamps.
