Trade Sought (post #169389)

I am in need of a nice low angle block plane for use in my shop and am willing to trade a Stanley #3 bench plane in very nice shape. If there is any interest please let me know.

I believe I would consider trading it for a low angle block plane in similar repair. Nice one!!

Sorry you haven't got any serious traders yet.

Maybe get a block on e-bay etc. and keep the Stanley for rough planing with a lot of camber in the blade.

Yeah, might have to do that. I just thought that there may some folks out there like me that have planes sitting around collecting dust that might want to trade. Thanks.

Your plane (post #169389, reply #5 of 8)

You have a type 20 made between 62' -67'  .    Sorry to say,  it is not a  rare or very desireable plane to collectors.  It can be tuned up some and be a "fair" user.      Personally,  I would pass on it in a flea market.

So finding a trade is going to be tough.    I suggest  flea markets,  but read up on planes first and then go out and find the "gold".

Work Safe,  Count to 10 when your done for the day !!
