Hi. I am trying to find a place I read about that has a large collection of old tools from around the country and even accepts tools.
I can't remember on which woodworking website I read about this and thought I'd start here.
It was located somewhere in Maine. I have a box of hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches , pliers) that are old and couldn't give them away at a recent garage sale I had. Goodwill wouldn't take them, and I don't have the heart to just toss them in the trash. I want to send them to this place in Maine.
I remember that this place has been around for a very long time and was a nice place to visit.
Anyone know of it?
Thanks

Old tools in Maine (post #170768, reply #1 of 2)
You may be referring to Liberty Tools in Liberty Maine. Went by there this past summer and was disappointed. Tools that you couldn't give away are pretty much what they are selling. If you shop there, be prepared to spend a lot of time sorting through piles, shelves, drawers and boxes to find what you are looking for.
Good luck!
