Norther CA Post & Beam construction
Norther CA Post & Beam construction (post #141316)

Hello all,
I have land with an existing barn foundation I had built 10 years ago and just now have restarted my intentions of building a post and beam structure on the foundation. Has anyone in Northern California built one, whom would not mind me asking questions? I have spruce and Douglas Fir on my property which I would use for the materials. I am also interested in using a design firm for the structure and me build and assemble the barn. Making this more difficult are the Northern California earthquake building codes.
Thanks,
Don
