Looking Dogwood to make a Mallet to use with my fro

I live in Utah, not a place with much dogwood.  Any help out their with finding some.  Thanks, Burton

If you have Hornbeam or Hop Hornbeam available they will work too.  Harder than nails.(almost)

Work Safe,  Count to 10 when your done for the day !!

Why so picky?  I would consider a wooden mallet used to beat a steel froe disposable. Use whatever hardwood you have available and you will do just fine. I have a great mallet for the same purpose made out of a Bradford pear tree limb that fell in a storm.
