I'm sure people have, but I don't recommend it, unless you have spray facilities that can move overspray away quite efficiently. Waterlox, as with other oil based varnishes dry so slowly that overspray can be quite a problem, making a sticky mess.
Test your finish on scrap, FIRST, or risk having to scrap your finish.

I've done it both ways. It flows out very nicely. when I first sprayed It had the appearance of orangepeel and I was worried, but it finished out very nicely. I've only applied it to cherry and I used their sealer (some say thats not necessary). Anyway I have a good sprayer (apollo) so for me, I'm not familiar with the overspray issue. I sprayed in the shop and did not have an issue. Her is a pic of the results

Thanks for the replies. Sunday night I sprayed one top of a flip design cherry table and brushed the other top. Will need to apply multiple coats and I will post results after 3 or more coats.
