Good luck with the landing net(s). I made 6 or so years ago for friends based on Geoff's article. It was a fun project and they turned out really well. I did have a hard time finding the netting, if you find a source please post.

boot,
The Ashley Book of Knots, by Clifford Ashley, has step by step directions for making several types of netting from small bags to hammocks to fishing seine. It'll be expensive to buy the book just for one project, but if you are into knots practical and decorative, rope, splicing, naval rigging, anything of that nature, it is the reference work to have. Possibly your local library has/can get it for you.

I haven't looked lately but a few years ago several of the companies that sell fly tying and fly fishing supplies sold the replacement nets.
