Compound mitre saw review
I am interested in buying a new compound mitre saw. The Ole 15" Makita has been a good chop saw but with the wider crowns these days and the need for compound cuts, I think it's time to finally enter the 21st century. Fine Woodworking did a review on these animals some time back but I don't have access to it. Can any of you tell me what the authors agreed on for the best over-all saw ????? I was looking at the 12" Bosch slide compound mitre saw. Thanks in advance for your time. Jerry

FW Issue 186(10/06) did a tool test on 10-in. sliding compound miter saws. They rate Milwaukee 6497-6 as "Best Value" and Bosch 4410L as "Best Overall".
American Woodworker tool tests (Issue 84, 97 & 122) picked Makita models LS1013 & 1214 as best overall.
Not sure if it just isn't a matter of opinion. I've been looking at DeWalt
