Bench overtop of tablesaw
I was reading a number of the knots recently and came across an entry where someone had built a workbench or outfield table so that it could be easily raised to slide right over the table saw for storage. It was a great article and even had a link to a short video demonstrating how it worked. I have spent countless hours trying to find it to no avail. I remember I tried to download the video and it gave me a message I had to be a member of u tube? or was it glue tube. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You should be able to access. See ref. of Wood Mag #178
It appears to be missing from Wood Mag.
I would think if you save the video you could build with little problems.

Thanks, this is the video I have been looking for. I saw it once and wanted to go back and make sure I understood how it was built for when I get my new saw. I think I can build a reasonable fascimile just from seeing the video. Thanks again!

The unit in the video doesn't have any miter slots. if you are making one you might think about adding them.

Also, the saw is shown being used without a blade guard, and the table doesn't seem to have an allowance for using one. (On my saw, the BG is attached at the outfeed end, so the table would need to have a cutout for it -- this saw, and yours, may be different tho'.)

Everything fits, until you put glue on it.
