Sooo ...
Let me make sure I got this right: for example a piece of 5/4 Cherry, 3" wide and 47" long,
The grade, considering the dimensions is #1 Common.
1.22 BF of #1C Cherry @ $20 ... That makes it at a little over $16 per BF ...
Am I missing something ?

You're not missing much at all...thanks for the inquiry. We appreciate the questions and need them! There is not a single knot or split or any defect of any kind on this piece, so it is FAS grade. I assume you mean the price is high and I think I agree with you. I'll check into this and make adjustments accordingly. Our web-site is brand new so I knew we'd have to make some adjustments along the way. Please check back again soon.

So, since when a board that is less than 6" wide and 8' long is graded FAS ?
Did the NHLA change the rules recently ?
That board because it's short AND narrow doesn't even make "select".
Unless the rules have been changed, that particular board grades #1 common.

By the way, I just checked the market report, 5/4 Cherry FAS $2.80 - 2.90 BF and #1C $1.25
For KD lumber, granted these are whole sale prices, but ...

This guy makes no sense!
$200+ for a slab of apple wood? And he can't even specify whether it's KD or AD?
Seems like he's interested in selling board by board and not like a real lumberyard.
Good luck just the same, I guess.

Just for fun, I checked again that particular piece of 5/4 Cherry they reduced the price, from $16 BF to 12 !!!
Imagine that !
