ESSA Announces 2008 Workshops

Eureka Springs School of the Arts announces its 2008 Woodworking Classes

Internationally renowned woodworker Doug Stowe will be teaching two classes at ESSA this year. The first will be a three-day class on Furniture Design from March 28th-30th in which students will participate in the "hands on" experience of furniture design. Tuition for this class is $165 with an additional 10% discount if you register before March 1st.

Doug will also be teaching a week long workshop from July 28th - August 1st on Wooden Box Making. This class will decide as a group on a particular box design and will have opportunities to explore more personally creative directions. Tuition for this 5-day workshop is $275, again with a 10% discount if you register by March 1st.

Another summer woodworking workshop will be taught by Greg Thomas on Wood Bowl Turning. This class will be held from June 2nd-June 6th and the tuition is $275. This will be a fun class with green maple shavings flying off the lathe!

From June 23rd-27th Joe Doster will be teaching Green Woodworking/Chair making. The basic hand tools required to create a rustic post and rung chair from the log will be covered.
