Thanks for the reply. I don't have any plans yet; I'm trying to see who is interested. I might put a notice in the local paper. Do you know any others who might be interested?

I would suggest that you guys check into http://www.ncwoodworker.net/
There is an active group in Western NC that includes Hendersonville, Asheville and the surrounds. They have monthly meetings.

If you get your club up and going, take a look at a website of a guy in your area(Candler). Jim Chambers is the owner of a kentucky rifle business and he lives in western NC in Candler. He is a super great guy, with a world of knowledge. Been at it for 40 years by now. He might be willing to come out and talk with a bunch of guys interested in something new and different.
