If my memory serves,I have at least one and maybe a few more Langdon/Millers Falls boxes stashed in my barn along with a Stanley box or two. They are dirty and probably have some light rust on them but they are in good enough shape to be restored with some scrubbing, polishing, and lubrication. I have the saws to match the boxes and suspect that the blades will need sharpening. I just purchased a full set of vintage Foley hand saw sharpening equipment but I won't have them up and running until next winter.
I own and use a pair of Langdon boxes for furniture making and highly recommend them, wonderful tools.
I'll take a look at what I have and will let you know what is available. The price will be fair, generally I sell tools for a little less than they would fetch on E-bay.

Dan, I looked in the (post #146841, reply #3 of 6)
Dan,
I looked in the barn and found several miter boxes but only one Langdon in usable condition. It is a fairly modern one from, I am guessing, the 1960's, when MIllers Falls had become part of Ingersoll Rand.
By then they were painting the saw gray with a red bed, instead of just leaving the cast iron unfinished, and the brass name tag was replaced by an ugly gum label, but the saw still has all of the features that made the Langdon boxes work so well. It has a very large back saw that is still reasonably sharp. There is light rust on the unpainted surfaces and almost all of the plating is badly blistered but the box and the saw could be cleaned up in a few hours without too much trouble.
Send me your e-mail address and I'll send some photos of the saw and I'll also give you a price. Send your address to zensmith@mac.com.

Dan,
I have and old Ingersoll-Rand miter box. It's maybe a 60's or 70's model? . It's in great shape and is in working condition. Saw with it is sharp. Here is one picture,. I can send more if you are interested.
