SEEKING EXPERT CARPENTER to make Exterior Doors in Florida (post #166816)

We are looking for someone to make a new front door for our home in Florida as well as a matching  garage door and frame as well as a side entry door. We prefer these be made of ipe (based on the forums I know it is not a popular choice!). If you are in Florida and can help us please contact me -Thanks.

Still looking?  I make doors from all species.  Located in Austin TX.  Will deliver and install.  As you can imagine, ipe doors will not come cheap.  Wood alone costs around $10/bf, and must be joined with special techniques, ie as if there was no glue.  Heavy dimension ipe comes air dried only and may move after construction and so must be designed with this in mind.  Look at my website www.AlanAlhades.com and if interested give me a call.
