Autumn is coming, many bedding need to be replaced. Therefore, how to maintain the seasonal bedding become a big problem. There are some tips to help you solve it.
Washing: Bedding can be classified to two styles. One generally put sewing fabric and fill material together, so that the bedding looks three dimension sense and relatively flat. As a result, it will be not easy to wash and need to be dry cleaning. The other usually have a quilt cover, we can just wash quilt cover. We shouldn’t use bleach when washing as well as hot water, instead we can use warm water or cold water. What’s more, when washing bedding with dark colours, we should not wash it in local, but in whole. Besides, don’t mix other light coloured fabrics to wash.
Storage: Seasonal bedding should be washed clean and store in a dry place after drying. And in the wet south China ,we should air it regularly ,and then store. As to the bedding which can not be water washing such as bat and silk quilt core, it should be well ventilated drying in the sun after the use, before collection or unused for long periods. And don’t put it in the sun exposure in order to prolong its life and remain soft feeling. It should be stored in a ventilated and dry place to avoid it going bad. Particularly, silk bedding’s storage bag should not loose or too tight, and do not drop heavy objects above, in order to avoid a long its elasticity after a long time. Besides, do not put chemicals such as insect repellent inside.
Bedding care:Air quilts and blankets on the clothesline monthly to remove dust and naturally sanitise. Machine wash cotton and wool blankets on the delicate cycle using a gentle detergent. Store out-of-season quilts and bags in a cool, dry place where the product can breathe. Always use pillow, duvet and mattress protectors.
Everything needs maintenance,so does bedding. It’s getting cold. Hope have a comfortable bed life in the last days of this year.
